Obituary of Gerald Agazzi

Gerald A. Agazzi "Brother" Age 76. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with his family by his side. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong Joliet area resident. Attended Joliet Township High School and Eliza Kelly Grade School. A Korean War U.S. Navy Veteran. Retired from McGrath Office Equipment, after over 45 years of service as an office equipment mechanic. An avid motorcycle enthusiast. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Rose (nee Bortoli) Agazzi; and his brother, Joseph in infancy. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean (nee Riggs) Agazzi of Joliet; one sister, Doris (late Louis) Bertani of Joliet; eight nieces, Mary Teresa Jostes, Susan Bertani, Amy (Jeff) Tomczak, Joyce (Mike) Skubic, Eileen (Todd) Jackson; Jackie (Bob) Wilson, Lisa Ray, and Brooke Adamowski; five nephews, L. Robert Bertani, Matthew (Kathy) Bertani and Peter (Andrea) Bertani; Tony Riggs and Daniel (Tammy) Riggs; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. With deepest appreciation from the Agazzi Family to Joliet Area Community Hospice, especially Barb, Monica, Pam, Vivica and Deacon Tom, your special care will always be remembered. Funeral Services for Gerald A. Agazzi will be Monday, March 31, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Church of St. Anthony for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, the American Cancer Society or Parkinson's Research would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at: FRED C.
