Obituary of Kendra Washington

Kendra Colea Washington Age 37. Born to Lee, Jr. and Beverly (Haywood) Washington in Vicksburg, MS on May 12, 1976. She transitioned into her heavenly home on October 3, 2013. She was christened at an early age at St. James A.M.E. Church in Vicksburg, MS. She currently attended Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Christopher Myers on June 27, 2009. Preceded in death by her father, Lee Washington, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Christopher; five children, Shaka, Reginald, Malachi, Ladanian and Keandrea; her parents, Beverly and Leroy Hill; her siblings, Roaslyn, Terrance, Dewayne, Sr. (Shuree), and Myron, Sr.; special friends, Julie Williams and Franchesca Byrd; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to gather on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Brown Chapel, 1502 Mills Road in Joliet, IL 60433 from 6:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Lishers Mahone, Jr. officiating. Family and friends may meet on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown Chapel where the procession will follow to Elmhurst Cemetery for Committal Services. Visitation Sunday at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. prior to the gathering at the Brown Chapel.
