Obituary of Gary Bunce

Gary Roger Bunce Age 55. Passed away suddenly on Friday, December 19, 2008 in New Lenox. Gary worked as an accountant and CPA for over 30 years at various banking institutions and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Received his MBA from NIU in 1987. Teacher of Accounting, Finance and Economics for Joliet Junior College. He was a member of several Sherlockian societies, including "Hugo's Companions", "The Hounds" and "The South Downers". He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (nee Matsumura) Bunce; daughter, Katie Bunce; son, Alex Bunce; mother, Alice Mazzotti Bunce; brother, Arthur Bunce; sister, Joanne (Rich) Jaycox; mother and father-in-law Jerry and Judy Matsumura; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary's remains have been donated to the Anatomical Gift Association for the advancement of medical education. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gary's name to be used for a charity that will be established at a later date would be appreciated.
