Obituary of Genevieve Brown

Genevieve W. Brown (nee Barnes) "Bea" Age 80. Passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ November 13, 2013. Born November 16, 1932 to Eugene and Jewell (nee Steele) Barnes in Double Springs, AL. Beloved mother of Allen (Paula) Barnes, Terry, Michael (Ann), Christopher, John (Brenda) and Steven (Tina) Brown; daughter-in-law, Cindy Krzos; loving grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 20; other loved ones are her dear sister, Jackie (Grady) White; and countless nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends also survive. Preceded by her husband, Christopher Noble; parents; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" and Sue; brother, Jimmy; son, Allen; daughter-in-law, Paula; and grandson, Wesley. Bea's passion for God led to her involvement in church service at Zion Baptist for many decades and finally at Jackson Creek Baptist. She greatly enjoyed her years organizing V.B.S. For many years, Bea worked with Joliet Area Community Hospice. Above all, Bea will be remembered for her unwavering love of Christ, her extraordinary generosity of time, money and love, her graciousness and her caring nature, especially for her children. Never has "Gramma Brown" met a child that she wouldn't bring into her home, feed, love and feed some more. There are no words to encompass Bea's loyalty and love for every child she ever met. Funeral Services for Bea Brown will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment Mt.
