Obituary of Marco Aguilar
Marco Antonio Aguilar
Age 50, of Plainfield and formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 14, 2009, after a brave battle against cancer. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Marco and Angela (nee De Lacruz), he was raised and educated there and worked as a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar Tractor Company until moving to Chicago in 1981. He had resided in Plainfield for the past ten years. Employed by Federal Express and the former Watkins Trucking; previously employed by CCX Conway Transport.
He is survived by his family; his loving wife, Carla (nee Laukkanen); son, Anthony Michael; daughter, Gina Marie Aguilar; his parents; four sisters, Olga (Byron) Turk, Rebecca (Sergio) Chiu, Elizabeth "Chiqui" (Jaime) Bonilla of Miami, FL. and Magali Aguilar; three brothers, Carlos, Oscar (Monica) and Jorge (Luz) Aguilar; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Marco will fondly be remembered as a great family man, and an excellent mechanic who possessed an intense work ethic.
Funeral Services for Marco Antonio Aguilar will be Monday, May 18, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services. Visitation Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at:
