Obituary of Mary Phillips

Mary D. Phillips (nee Alberico) Age 84, a lifetime Joliet resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Beloved mother of Michael (Debbie) Phillips, Patricia (Chris) Rouskey, Jean (Dave) Smith, Tim (April) Phillips and Dennis (Heidi) Phillips; loving grandmother of 12 and proud great-grandmother of 15. Several nieces and and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Phillips (1989); her parents, Mary Grace (DeBlasis) and Pasquale Alberico, one sister, Clara (late John) Zubcic and one brother, Danny Alberico in infancy. Mary retired from Jewel Food Stores (Jefferson Street) after many years of service, and in her younger years was a keypunch operator at Caterpillar Tractor Company. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, reading, knitting and crocheting. As it was Mary's wish, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday December 31, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 N. Woodlawn Ave., Joliet.
