Rigoberto Cabrera
Age 77. Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, after a long illness, Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. Born January 4, 1923 in Mexico to the late Agustin and Aurelia Cabrera Gonzalez, he had lived in Joliet for the past fifty years.
He is survived by his children, Maria Elena (Alan) Watson, Miguel (Eugenia) Cabrera, Lourdes (Jose) Zuniga, Lupe (Max) Diaz, Araceli Cabrera and Esther Cabrera; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Agustin (Mary) Gonzalez and Javier (Pat) Gonzalez; cousin and good friend Jesse (Adela) Cabrera; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by his wife, Arcelia (1986); his parents; and sister Celia Maldonado.
Funeral services for Rigoberto Cabrera will be Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Pete Jankowski officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at:
