Obituary of Mary Russell

Mary M. Russell (nee Bolyard) Age 85, received the Lord peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with family and friends by her side. The family wishes to thank the Hospice staff for their comforting care. Born July 27, 1928 in Grafton, W.VA, and a long time resident of Shorewood. Mary was a retiree of Kerr/Ball Glass Manufacturing where she worked as a quality control supervisor for 35 years. She loved her Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, and West Virginia Mountaineers sports teams. She also loved watching wild life and horse racing. She touched many lives and was loved by many. Surviving are her beloved husband of 65 years, Theodore C. "Ted" Russell of Shorewood; her loving son, Rick (Karen Hartley) Russell of Shorewood; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Winnie (nee Murray) Bolyard; three sisters, Helen Lewis, Eleanor Cox and Martha McDaniel; and two brothers, Jack and Prentice Bolyard. Visitation for Mary M. Russell will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, with a service at 8:00 p.m. Interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private. For information: 815-741-5500.
