Obituary of Darlene McCarthy

Darlene Yokas McCarthy Age 69. At rest Friday, March 7, 2014 at her late residence in Carmel, IN. Born in Chicago, raised in Western Springs, she lived in Naperville most of her life until relocating to Carmel to be closer to her family. Survived by her son, Shaun (daughter-in-law, Heather) Yokas of Carmel, IN; two granchildren, Nick and Alyssa Yokas; sister, Toxie Markwiese; niece, Molly Markwiese and nephew, Michael Markwiese. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Tom" McCarthy; parents, George and Mary (nee Tampoorles) Yokas. Darlene was a dedicated member and Sunday school teacher at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Joliet, IL. Funeral Services for Darlene Yokas McCarthy will be held Tuesday March 11, 2014 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway St., Joliet, where she will lie in state from 8:30 a.m. until services begin at 9:30 a.m. Fr. Stephen Bithos will officiate. Interment Elmwood Cemetery River Grove, IL.
