Cannon, Dennis L.
Age 59. Suddenly Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at his late residence. Born in Tulsa, OK to the late Billy and Alice Cannon, he had resided in Joliet the past 40 years. Formerly employed by Wisconsin Lift Truck, Inc. of Illinois. Member of Faith Lutheran Church, serving his church as lay reader, Property Committee Chairman for many years, and member of the Men's Club. Former member of the Joliet Moose Lodge #300. Dennis loved fishing, woodworking, reading, Joliet Jackhammers games and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife of 20 years, Charlotte (Hoffmeyer) Cannon of Joliet; four children, Robert (Dawn) Dickinson of Elmhurst, Rebecca (Rick) Moore of Rochelle, Renee (Andre) FerronYalka of Parrish, FL and Donald (Jenna) Stinson of Marseilles, IL; eight grandchildren, Shane and Jordan Dickinson; Nicholas and Savannah Moore; Carleen, Danielle and Drake FerronYalka; and Evelynn Stinson; three brothers, Wesley (Jane) Cannon, Steve (Pat) Cannon both of Olney, IL, and Richard (Carolyn) Cannon; one sister, Linda Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis L. Cannon will lie in state on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church, 353 N. Midland Ave., Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jane Perkolup officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Faith Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 2-8 p.m. at:
