I remember the day I met my husband Joe's friend Mr. Clennon..when I first came to Channahon I needed insurance and Joe took me to see his friend "Jerry" in Minooka. We walked in his office and Joe introduced me to his friend . Joe told him what I needed and he said "I'll take care of her Joe" and he did all the paper work and then had me sign and told me if I ever needed anything else to let him know and he would take care of it immediatey...Joe had left and had gone down the street of the small town to the Mortgage Inn . After the papers were done Mr. Clennon walked me to the door and to my car ..I drove about 3-4 doors down and peeked into the Inn and there sat Joe and Jerry having a drink..He got there before I did..Jerry said "I found him for you" to which Joe replied "you told her where I was" and they both broke out in laughter...Mr. Gerald Clennon was so very kind and a Gentleman I will always remember him. And to his family I send our condolences from the Joe Cook,Sr. family. God be with you at this time. Mrs. Joe Cook,Sr.

Lisa, My heart is breaking for you all. Your Dad was an icon of a man and will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to have known him. I may have been the "girl with the hat" for many years but later he knew my real name...lol. Many memories from my youth until now include your Dad. He is now with your mom and T. (((hugs))) to you all.
