Obituary of Gary Cardwell

Gary R. Cardwell Age 64, of Joliet, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Gary retired from Commonwealth Edison with over 30 years of service. He was a board member of the Moran A. C. and had a passion for golf. He also loved the Chicago White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bears. He will long be remembered as a loving husband, devoted dad, terrific grandfather, and a genuine friend to many. Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary K. (nee Roberta) Cardwell; his children, Christopher (Lisa) Cardwell and Amy (Jeff) Englund; five grandchildren, Jack and Colin Cardwell and Ryan, Meghan and Amanda Englund; his mother, Lois Cardwell; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by his father, Orville R. Cardwell (2006), and one brother, Kenneth (2003). Funeral services for Gary Cardwell will be Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
