Alberta Carver
Age 82, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at her home in Joliet.
Preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Leada Dunn; husband, James Carver; sisters, Eola Robertson, Minnie McNear and Lueberta McGee; brother, James Dunn; daughter, Sherry Ann Gatson; and granddaughter, Tasha Gatson.
Alberta is survived by three daughters, Jeannette Montgomery and Carol Baker both of Joliet, and Verise (James) Phillips of Memphis, TN; three sons, Robert (Jo) Cooper, Cedric (Deborah) Carver and Michael (Teresa) Caruthers; devoted granddaughter, Sharla Gatson all of Joliet; two sisters, Mary Wilbert of Virginia and Barbara Dunn-Martin of Lockport; two brothers, Robert Lee Dunn of Tuscaloosa and Willie (Laura) Dunn of Lockport; sister-in-law, Luveter Dunn of Alabama; brother-in-law, Lee Carver; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2009 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, and Friday evening at Shiloh Baptist Church, 200 Rev. Walton Drive, in Lockport from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Service at 7:00 p.m., Elder James Hamilton officiating. Interment Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church to Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet. Arrangements by:
