It seems like just yesterday that I had the pleasure of listening to you share some of our childhood memories. Our 4H Art project was my favorite. You brought back so many memories that day that I feel certain I never would have remembered. It was such a treasure to have that time together, even if it was not long enough. Rest in peace cousin, I'll miss you forever!

My brother was twelve years older than I and out of the house by the time I was in kindergarten. Most of my memories are when he'd come home on leave from the Air Force or when we'd take a trip to California to visit him and Donna. He had a special nickname for me, "deebus" or "deeb". I'm not sure how he came up with that, but even just recently he called me "deeb". This was the one nickname that meant something to me. I looked up to my brother for his brillance but also for his love and compassion for animals, specifically cats. He was passionate and opinionated, bold and courageous. He was a man to admire and a force to reckon with. He loved his wife and daughters completely. His animals weren't pets, they were his friends and soulmates. I love you, Corey. I'll meet you in my dreams, the Risk board will be set up and waiting. I promise not to beat you too badly.
Love you,
Deeb

I'm struggling to find the words to explain how I'm feeling. My brother meant a lot to me. I always looked up to him and some of my fondest memories were the times spent visiting him. He taught me many things that I will always take with me. It is a shame that time gets away from us and we get busy in our own lives. I'm blessed to have seen him before he passed. I hope he knew how much I admired and loved him. My thoughts and prayers are with Donna and the girls. I love you all.
