Obituary of Gerald Troxel

Gerald D. Troxel Age 59. Passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2014. Gerry never let his cancer stop him from doing what he wanted. Born in Metz, France in 1955, he lived in Lockport, IL until 1968, then moved to Joliet. He was a graduate of Joliet West High School, Class of 1973. Retired from Crane-Kemlite after 30 years of service. Ger loved old cars, cookouts, backyard fires and spending time with family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Yvette; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Whitman. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheri (nee Whitman); one daughter, Mallory Anne (Jeff) Hicks of Minooka; his mother-in-law and friend, Sarah Whitman; several lifelong friends, Terry Fenoglio, Russ Vance and Gerry McGann and their families.
