Obituary of Joyce Phillips

Joyce L. Phillips (nee Turgeant) Age 79. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chicago to the late Donald and Ruth (nee Lucas) Turgeant, she had resided in Joliet since 1962. Graduate of the Nursing Program at Passavant (Northwestern Memorial Hospital) in 1956. A retired registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center following 40 years of service. Survived by two children, Michael (Mary) Phillips of Bolingbrook, and Deborah (Mike) Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Alex and Carter Phillips; and Rebecca and Sean Ropp; three great-grandchildren, Jaedon, Isabella and Ethan; her sister,Judy (Doug) Trumbull of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry R. Phillips (2009); and her parents. Funeral Services for Joyce L. Phillips will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, graveside. Interment will follow. Visitation Thursday at the Fred C.
