Alcario Nino
Age 77. Passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. He was born in the town of Edroy, TX in San Patricio County on January 8, 1937 and was the son of Sisto Nino and Victoria Verellal Nino.
Alcario grew up in Odem, Texas with his brother and three sisters. He moved to Aurora in the 1950's, where he met his previous wife, Elisa Cavazos Nino and then moved to Joliet, IL and had four children. He was a steel worker until he started working for his family's quilting and mattress company prior to his retirement.
He was loved dearly by many friends and family. Some of his favorite hobbies were welding, construction, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his children, Linda (Mike) Barbic, Susanne (John) Flowers, Laurie Nino-Schrock and Paul (Brooke) Nino; siblings, Delia Nino Martinez, Rudy Nino, Elia Nino Botello and Juanita Nino Torres; grandchildren, Michael, Madelyn and Grace Barbic; John Paul and Alyssa Flowers; Lydia and Sophia Schrock, and Isabella and Delila Nino.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Alcario Nino will be Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Alcario's wish, Cremation Rites will be accorded following his funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 2195 W. Diehl Rd., Naperville, IL 60563 would be appreciated.
