Obituary of James Hughes

James T. Hughes Age 73. Passed away October 28, 2014 at Morris Hospital with his family by his side. A United States Army Veteran and member of the Patriot Guard and the American Legion Riders. Proud member of the Local 150 Heavy Equipment Operators Union. Member of the Masons Auburn Park Lodge #0789. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Judy (nee Scherry) Hughes; two sons, James D. (Amy) Hughes and Gregory T. Hughes; two daughters, Judiann (Kevin) Neff and Carrie Ann (Daniel) Bernier; two stepdaughters, Barbara Hiller and Beth (Greg) Strand; 13 grandchildren, Lauren and Grant Hughes, Gabrielle, Danielle and Brianna Uphoff, Jacob, Joshua, Rebecca and Rachel Bernier, Justin and Neil Hiller, and Mark and Mitchel Strand; his siblings, JoAnne (Richard) McGrath, Maureen (the late John) Kristin, Kathy McCallum, Patsy (Rich) Bajarunas and Michael Barton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Barton, and his father James J. Hughes. Services for James T. Hughes will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Larson officiating. As it was James' wish, cremation rites will be accorded after services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery to follow at a later date. Visitation for James will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W.
