Obituary of Rachel Reigh

Rachel M. Reigh (nee McGowan) January 5, 1926 November 1, 2014 Rachel, age 88, of Minooka, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, she attended St. Patrick Grade School and was a graduate of St. Francis Academy in Joliet. She married Robert J. Reigh, D.V.M. in 1949, and was the devoted mother of ten children, 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Robert (Patricia) Reigh, John (Karen) Reigh, Donna (Steven) Hunt, Randolph Reigh, Rachel A. Reigh, Gregory (Alice) Reigh, Daniel (Christine) Reigh, Debra (Mark) Ward, Catherine (Michael) Brannick and Paul (Kay) Reigh; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Robert J. Reigh; her granddaughter, Jaclyn Brannick; parents, Bartolomew and Beatrice (nee Archambeault) McGowan; sisters, Marybea Adelmann and Agnes Lonegran; and brother, Daniel McGowan. A Mass in Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary's Street, Minooka. Interment will be private at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 or St. Mary Catholic Church would be appreciated. Arrangements by Fred C.
