Obituary of Dennis Gora

Dennis Michael Gora, Sr. Age 68, of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 25, 1946 in Chicago, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Worked as a cement mason for Local #803, retiring in 2008. He was an avid hunter. Dennis will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father and as an adoring grandfather. Survived by his wife, Dorene (nee Corradi) Gora; children, Kristeen (Jason) Riforgiato and Dennis Gora, Jr.; stepchildren, Shannon (Pierre Cinelli) Kirby, Jacob Kirby and Joshua (Joyce) Kirby; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hannah and Caleb Kirby; J.D. and Kelsie Kirby; Mia and Lauryn Riforgiato; and Gianna and Zoe Cinelli; two brothers, John and Domnick Gora; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara (nee Sobleski) Gora; and sister, Geraldine (Wayne) Bajorek. Funeral Services for Dennis M. Gora, Sr. will be Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services.
