Obituary of Edward Cepiel SR
Cepiel, Edward J., Sr.
Age 81. Passed away suddenly at his home, Monday, June 20, 2011. Born in Morris on August 5, 1929 to the late Joseph and Margaret (nee Bien) Cepiel, he was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Morris High School. Parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and member of the Knights of Columbus. A U.S. Army veteran and member of the VFW Post #6049. Married Frances Mutz in 1959 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Joliet. Worked at the Federal Paper Board, the Morris Building and Loan, and retired from the First Midwest Bank.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances M. (nee Mutz) Cepiel; his children, Edward J. Cepiel, Jr. of Morris, David (Penny) Cepiel of San Antonio, TX, Susan (Norman) Hadley of Chicago, and Nancy (Dave) Keimig of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren, Alexandra, Brandon and Chelsea Cepiel; and Margot, Ann and Jack Keimig; his brother, Joseph (Jan) Cepiel; his aunt, Julie Bien; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Cecilia Farrell and Dorothy Cepiel.
Ed's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
Funeral Services for Edward J. Cepiel, Sr. will be Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Immaculate Conception Church for a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris. Memorials may be directed to the Church Building Fund. Family will receive guests on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at:
