James R. Stewart
James R. Stewart, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was born in Aurora on January 21, 1957 to Jean Barton Stewart and the late Donald Stewart. He was a third generation farmer and there was nothing else he would have rather done as he was" Feeding the World". He had a love for snowmobiling and would travel to Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wisconsin and Michigan looking for the ultimate ride. He also loved his cars, meeting new people and traveling.
Jim was united in marriage March 25, 1978 in Newark, to the former Terri Dunbar and they spent the next 36 years together.
Jim is survived by his loving wife , Terri Stewart; his mother, Jean Stewart; his sisters, Sharon (Ron) Clayton, Linda (Paul) Wissmiller and Judy (Wes) Henne; his brother, William (Debbie) Stewart; mother and father-in-law Bobbie & Leon Dettman; his sisters in-law, Laurie (Dave) Avenarius, Cathy Saxe and Pattie Huber; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Stewart; nephews Dustin Avenarius and Scott W Stewart; and his father-in-law, Elmer Bergeson, Jr.
As was Jim's wish, cremation rites have been accorded.
All friends and family are invited to join in a "Gathering of Love" to be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 which would have been Jimmy's 58th birthday. It will be held in Seth and Connie Sleezer's shop at 7214 Caton Farm Road, Yorkville IL. There will be a memorial service from 4:00 to 4:30 pm followed by reminiscing and celebrating of his life until 8 pm
.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in the name of Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation, the ASPCA (an animal rescue group), or the Kendall County food pantry.
