Obituary of Casey Heermann
Casey Christopher Heermann
Age 43, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center from complications of a stroke.
Born July 18, 1971 in Joliet to Charlene (Joneson) and Daniel Heermann. He was educated in the Coal City School System, was a graduate of Joliet Junior College and was currently attending Governors State University.
Casey worked in sales at Best Buy and Verizon, and was currently employed at Cooler Smart.
He was a lifetime member of the Juggy Gales Supper Club and Fantasy Football League and a Master of Useless Trivia. His second love after his family was the Arizona Cardinals football team. Casey will be remembered as "an all around nice guy" and a kid at heart.
Survived by his fiancee, Kathy McGowan of Joliet; his daughter, Kayla Hultink of Calumet City; his sons, Zachary Heermann of Crest Hill, and Gavin and Kevin McGowan, at home; his mother, Charlene (Tom) Connolly of Norway, IL; brother, Page Heermann of Plainfield; niece, Alison (Brent) Leiterman; aunts, Carol (Dan) Green of Aurora, Cindy (Paul) Hintze of Diamond, and Pam Joneson of Morris; cousins, Mark (Kim) Pavlis, Jill Pavlis and Josh (Marti) Hintze; his future in-laws, Dan and Ann McGowan; future brother-in-law, Mike (Katie) McGowan and Elizabeth; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thelma and Larry Wickman; paternal grandparents, Bill and Charlotte Heermann and Doris Heermann; his father, Dan Heermann; and an uncle, Chris Joneson.
Funeral services for Casey Heermann will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 195 S. Kankakee St., Coal City, IL. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, Braceville, IL. Donations to the family for his sons' education fund would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 3-8 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.
