Grandpa was the best story teller ever! My favorite was about a rabbit with a thorn in his "pa". I can remember sitting on the swing in the back yard on summer afternoons ususally playing a game called "Suitcase". You start by saying "I'm going to pack my suitcase, and I'm gonna take _____" then you take turns filling in the blank. It could get pretty silly sometimes. Playing dice at the kitchen table with him was not only a great memory for me, but for my kids too. I think he could fix just about anything. He was always tinkering around with something at his desk in the basement....a broken toy, radio, fishing pole, clock, or even a bike that he would make good as new. He wore his cap hats and western bolo tie with style every time. And best of all, he really knew how to tear it up on the dance floor! You will always be in our hearts!
