Obituary of Peter Hoaglund

Peter H. Hoaglund "Pete" Age 77. Passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Regency Care of Morris with his loving wife by his side. Born in Sauk Center, Minnesota to the late Herbert and Gladys (nee Stromert) Hoaglund. Residing in Morris since 1989, where he was a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Graduate of Richland Center High School in Wisconsin and received his Bachelors Degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and his Business Degree from Northwestern Business School. Formerly employed as an engineer with West Bend Company in Wisconsin, Donaldson Company in Minnesota, Standard Thompson in Massachusetts and Champion Laboratories in Illinois. A U.S. Army Veteran. Member of the Morris Rotary Club, Morris Country Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles and First Christian Church of Morris. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Suzanne (nee Boutin) Hoaglund of Morris; two sons, Matthew and Todd Hoaglund and his daughter, Kristine (David) Bennington all of Morris; two granddaughters, Hailey and Kailyn Hoaglund; sister, Donna Arthur of Fishers, Indiana; brother, Jon (Kristen) Hoaglund of Prescott, Arizona; brother in-law, Richard (Judy) Boutin of Rosemount, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded by his two brothers, Neal and George Hoaglund. A memorial service for Peter H. Hoaglund will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, Illinois 60450. Rev. Chuck Richardson officiating. Private final inurnment at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Compassion International or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday morning at 10 a.m. until time of services.
