Obituary of Raynard Burnette
Raynard Marshall Burnette
Age 64, of Joliet, passed away after a long battle with health complications. Though it seems too soon, we know now that he is in a better place watching over all of us.
Born March 9th, 1951 to the late Raymond and Eunice (McKinney) Brunette of Bluefield, West Virginia, and passed away on April 15th 2015.
Raynard lived a great life. He was a proud member of the Teamsters local #705 and #710, grabbing gears as a semi truck driver across most of the U.S. because he loved to travel. If it was a day that ends in "y" and the sun came up that morning, you could bet you'd find him reeling in a ol' catfish or bass at one of his favorite fishing spots. But above all, he loved his family more than anything. He was a very loving and devoted husband, and an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was a member of the Greek orthodox faith. His Christian name was Stavros. He loved all kinds of music, but held his country and bluegrass close to his heart. He was a great man and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his beloved wife; Theodora D. Burnette. Four children; William Raynard (Kelly) Burnette, Thomas (Andrea/ Stacy) Burnette, Kristy (Rodrigo) Guzman, Raymond (Katie) Burnette, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one brother; Allen Wayne Burnette, one sister; Charlotte Kaye Burnette, and nieces and nephews.
