Obituary of Katherine Flissar

Katherine Flissar (nee Jufiert) Age 98, of Chicago, IL, recently of Joliet, IL, passed away April 25, 2015. She was born January 24, 1917 in Fargo, ND to George and Lena Jufiert. She married her husband of 30 years, Frank Flissar, on October 19, 1941 in Cook County, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; her brother, George Jufiert; her sister, Ellinor Jufiert; her sons, Frank Flissar, Jr. and Billy Flissar. Survived by her son, Jim Flissar; daughter, Katherine (Mike) Bokuniewicz; grandchildren, Wayne, Wendy, Wyatt and Cody Flissar, Megan Bokuniewicz and Stephanie (Armondo) Aviles; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille McCabe; daughters-in-law, Waunitta Flissar and Martha Flissar; and many friends and family. She lived as a saint, always loving and giving. She will be deeply missed and remembered. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, IL . Interment will be held privately at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
