Just found out about Fran's passing and her niece Nancy. Mickey not only lost a sister, she also lost her best friend.

I was so sorry to hear of Fran's passing. My mom (Barb Brown) considered Fran her best friend. And, Fran was the one person who continued to support my mom during her difficult fight with cancer. Fran was there for her always. And, for me as well. She never turned her back on her friend in need. I appreciated that so much. I only hope they are looking down on us with a beverage in hand and having a long overdue chat and chuckle together. Fran was infectious with her laugh and always a joy to be around. She helped me deal with so many issues at a difficult time in my mom's life. Her advice was golden. She will be missed.

I was saddened to see the passing of Franie. I met Franie when I started working at USS back in 1970. She was such a kind person with a great sense of humor. Franie didn't take any crap from anyone and she would tell them so with a smile on her face. We had a lot of laughs back then. She lost the love of her life when Wally died way back when. I ran in to Franie from time to time and had wonderful conversations with her and her sister, Mickey and we would have some great laughs. I just saw her passing in her car not too long ago and I said to my self "Oh Franie". I also thought of her with a smile on my face. She will be, I'm sure, truly missed by everyone, but she is finally in heaven with her Wally. One cute story I have to share with everyone, Franie told me one day that she bought a pie....I think it was a cherry pie. She said she took a little slice and ate it and it tasted so good, she took another and another. She said before she knew it she had eaten the whole pie, so she got rid of the evidence and Wally never knew she even bought a pie!!! She had that smile and would look at you and wait for you to crack up, which I did everytime. God bless you Franie. You are a wonderful soul. Pat Haas
