Obituary of Virginia Popek

Virginia B. Popek (nee Duncan) Age 90. At rest Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center. Born March 18, 1925 in Bloomington, IL to the late Charles and Laura (nee Rothwell) Duncan. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Popek (1991); parents; sister, Anna (Robert) Churchill; brothers, George, Charles "Buddy" and Robert Duncan; infant sister and brother; sisters-in-law, Josephine (Raymond) Popek, Helen (Victor) Benac and Marie (Frank) Scheidt. Survived by her two sons, Thomas A. (Donna) and Gary Popek; daughter Beverly (Kelvin) Glover; grandchildren, Justin, Katy (Jacob) Stark, Matt and Rob; sisters-in-law, Joan (late Arthur) Kreiger and Dolores Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Virginia B. Popek will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
