I thought of Mel often, he won a special place in my heart. I know he is at peace with many of his WWII buddies. My sympathy and prayers to Chris and his sons.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories! Going to Bears games, watching you run (and doing a sports report about it!), and swimming in your pool in Downers Grove. The boys and I will miss you!
Thank you Grandpa Mel for signing your cards to me Mon Amour Toujours after I learned to speak French, for your determination to keep running when your body could hardly walk, for sharing stories amd quotes, and singing in your parents tongue. You are loved.
Our mother Eve loved Mel so much. We are thankful for the years they had together. He took wonderful care of her, and we love him for that. He is at peace now and our prayers are with his family.
Charlie, Chris, John, and Jeff, please know that we're thinking of you and hoping that happy memories will take the place of sadness in the near future. Praying for you all and Mel. Sincerely, The Rynn family
Our time with Mel with always inspiring. Semper Fidelis Mel. You are in our thoughts and prayers,
