Judith M. Johnson-Hatch
(nee Wallace)
Age 71. Suddenly Sunday, October 11, 2015 at her late residence. Born in Joliet to the late Arthur and Janet (nee Hakey) Wallace, she was a lifelong resident. Attended Joliet Central High School. Judy spent many years in the real estate industry and prior to retirement, she was a pharmacy tech with Jewel/Osco. She was an avid gardener and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the fullest. Between movies, sleepovers and going to all of their activities, she was their biggest fan. To her children, she was the most dearest mother and best friend they could ever have.
Survived are her two children, Brian (Maureen) Carey and Janet (Greg) DeNardis, both of Joliet, four grandchildren, Brian Carey, Jr., and Christine McDonnell, Tony and Jenna DeNardis; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Serena Carey; one brother, Arthur (late Anna Mae) Wallace, Jr. of S. Wilmington; one sister, Patricia (Robert) Ward of Joliet; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded by two sisters, Anita Borello and Shirley Wolf.
Funeral Services for Judith M. Johnson-Hatch will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
