Dad, the time goes by but it never gets easier. I miss you more than I can say and my life will never be the same. You are my hero and I love you very much. I will see you again....give Nona and Pops a hug for me.
Thanks for all the memories Dad. You were one in a million and I am so proud to have had you for my dad. I am so thankful you are at peace now, I will see you on the 403. Until we see each other again. Big hugs and kisses. Love you always.
Our heart felt sympathy to you Martha and your family .
You have been special people mike and Martha , as you once Resided with your family in the home I grew up in.on N Briggs St. It was really a pleasure to meet you both, always together, so pleasant and a devoted couple . We did enjoy our visits on the many occasions we would run into you both around Joliet .
St Bernard's church and school leaves fond memories , as Lynn and I were married there 54 years ago . Wonderful memories , I have growing up in your home too.
I fondly remember this caring man who took his wife out weekly as I was their babysitter.
May you Martha, and your children find peace and comfort during this sad time.
I can't think of any one word to lift the pain of losing a father, grandfather, husband, friend. Grief itself will spend its time with everyone touched by this loss. I only know that the love inspired by Mike and his presence in our lives will prevail and remain log after grief has loosened its hold. I am grateful for the time I was able to spend in your home, Mike and Martha, while I did my student teaching in New Lenox so many years ago. Your generosity and hospitality, not to mention your willingness to try the many "healthy organic foods" I conjured up...(does Black Bean Soup ring a bell, Martha?) is a gift I will remember always. All the good you were is reflected in your own children and on to their children as well. I am blessed to know that first hand as Mark has been a devoted husband, father and grandfather with that same generosity of time that you modeled. May God carry you all closely while you find your way through this time of earthly loss.
Uncle Mike the memories I have of u will remain tucked away deep in my heart. I was just talking about u to Aunt Martha the other day when I had My graduation party, laugh out loud, my Mother wanted to ground both of us I think, It was fun though. Sweetness, it's from me to u, actually a shot of that wild turkey right now wld be great also. Next time i'm in the right place I will order me on and toast it to u because I believe that wld make u smile.
