Obituary of Gene Cole JR

Gene C. Cole, Jr. Age 52, of Woodridge and formerly of Lyons and Chicago passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Hines V.A. Hospital. Born June 29, 1956 in Hinsdale, IL to Shirley A. (Hass) and the late Gene C. Cole, Sr. A U.S. Army Veteran; Gene was an auto mechanic who thoroughly enjoyed tinkering with old cars and also enjoyed gardening. Survived by his mother, Shirley A. (Hass) Cole of Sheffield; one son, Gene C. Cole III; five brothers, Louis (Kathy), Ronald (Laura), Mark, Elmer and Randy (Lisa) Cole; devoted girlfriend Patty Bradley; two uncles, Marty and Elmer Hass. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his father Gene C. Cole Sr, his grandparents and two aunts, Nancy Hass and Dale Hass. A visitation will be held Friday, May 30 from 3:00 p.m. until a prayer service begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Morris. As it was Gene's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the service and inurnment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
