Joanie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know if you remember me, but I always thought so highly of you and Ski. You still lived in Plainfield when I last saw you. He was just the coolest guy! May God bless you with his peace and may Ski rest in peace.

To the Malinowski Family. Ski was a Senior Deputy to me when I joined the Sheriffs Dept.
I had a few strikes against me and I hated being treated
differently than others. Ski never did that. He always expected me to perform like the men on the dept.
and never seemed to mind answering my many questions.
One of the good guys. He will be missed.
I've had the pleasure to work with Ski the past few years as the Director of Security at Lac Vieux Desert Casino and he was the best man I had. Besides being a great employee, Ski was fun to be around. I'll miss his stories of Plainfield and the crazy incidents that happened here on his shift. As a local Fire Chief I always enjoyed hearing about the Plainfield Fire Dept too. I'm short on words as we're all trying to process this yet. RIP Ski.
