Obituary of Richard Corneglio SR

Richard C. Corneglio, Sr. Age 73, of South Wilmington, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 1, 2011 at Morris Hospital, with family at his side. He was born April 26, 1938 in Kankakee, IL to Helen (Stellano) and the late Charles Corneglio. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Keest) Corneglio; son Rick Corneglio of Farmer City, IL; his mother Helen Corneglio; one brother Wayne Corneglio; two sisters, Sandra Sowers and Carol (Joe) Myers; one sister-in-law Kathleen Keest and one nephew Mark Corneglio. Preceded in death by his father Charles. Richard, a former Deputy Sheriff in Grundy County for many years, was a Marine and A University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener. He truly enjoyed gardening. Private family services will be held at a later date. For those wishing to leave a lasting memorial in Richard's name, the family is suggesting, in lieu of flowers, the South Wilmington Volunteer Fire Department or the Methodist Church of South Wilmington.
