Obituary of Helen Coughlin

Helen T. Coughlin Age 97. Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born in Tipton, IN to the late Owen and Ellen Coughlin, she was a resident of Joliet most of her life. A retired school teacher for Eliza Kelly School and Parks Grade School in 1974, after 37 years. State life membership in the PTA. Member of Joliet Public Schools Quarter Century Club. She received the Academic Excellence Award at Parks School and she was designated as the Outstanding Educator of the Century by Parks PTA. Preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, John, Joseph, Gene and Mary Coughlin. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Helen will be greatly missed by her family, cherished friends and the loving students she had taught throughout her career. Funeral Services for Helen T. Coughlin will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
