Shirley D. Coyne
(nee Cryder)
Age 86, of Minooka, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 4, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born November 14, 1923 in Yorkville where she was raised and graduated with the class of 1941 at Yorkville High School. She married Francis "Bud" Coyne on June 28, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Joliet.
Beloved mother of Joe (Maria) Coyne, Richard Coyne, Jeanette Gaffey, Helen (Paul) Curd, Dale (Gail) Coyne and Jean (John) Krafft. Loving grandmother of Shawn (Mark) Coyne, Ashley (Jimmy) Schroeder, Daryl Francis (Kelly) Coyne, Brian Coyne and Shannon (Jim) Messerges. Proud great grandmother of Christopher Harris, Ava Schroeder, Madeline Schroeder and Abigail Messerges. Also survived by her sister Lois Schiltz and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband in 1986; parents, Henry Cryder and Edna (John) Whitlock;daughter-in-law Ellouise Coyne; great grandchildren Ethan Jacob and Baby Girl Messerges; two brothers and three sisters.
Shirley and Bud farmed all their married life in Minooka. She was a member of the CCW at St. Mary Catholic Church in Minooka.
Funeral Services for Shirley D. Coyne will be Friday, October 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Catholic Church, Minooka for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka. Visitation Thursday 3-9 p.m. at:
