Obituary of Thora Crabtree

Thora Ann Crabtree (nee Anderson) "GeGe" Age 74. Peacefully, Friday, September 4, 2009 at Fairview Care Center. Born in Ballard County KY, she was a long time Joliet area resident. Retired from Montgomery Ward after 24 years of service. Formerly employed by Burger King as a Regional Manager for 15 years. A member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #300, and a member of the Re-Tread Club. Survived by two sons, Randy (Maria) Jones of Joliet and John M. (Tami) Crabtree of Florida; stepdaughter, Jackie (Harold) Purvis of Kentucky; three grandchildren; Stephanie Jones, Amanda (James Herbert) Jones and Krista (Jasand) Ross; three stepgrandchildren, one great-grandchid, Danny Bartosik; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda (Robert) Newton and Judy (late Glenn) Bernard; two brothers, Bob (Yolanda) Anderson and Tony (Kim) Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, John "Frump" Crabtree; her parents, Lucian and Mary (nee Doublin) Anderson; two sisters, Hazel Sherpard and Peg Mayberry; one brother, Junior Anderson; former spouse, Samuel Edward Jones Funeral Services for Thora Ann Crabtree will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
