Obituary of Julie Lynn Smith

Julie Lynn Smith Age 54. Passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Streator, IL on March 23, 1962 to Leslie O. and Janet Ann (nee Cleary) Smith. A lifelong resident of Dwight,IL and a graduate of Dwight High School. Julie loved her job as a Mental Health Technician at Fox Developmental Center, where she worked for the past 30 years caring for everyone as if they were family. A devoted Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Survived by her father, Leslie O. Smith; her siblings, Mary (Jim) Perkins, of Dwight, Regina King of Chenoa, Paul (Kelly) Smith of Channahon, Pam (Kevin) Peterson of Dwight, Cathy (Bill) Oelschlager of Dwight, Amy Smith of Dwight, and Maggie (Ed) Krischel of Joliet; her two aunts, Peg (Jim) Watters and Katie (Joe) Hagemann; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded by her mother; both maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother-in-law, Chuck King. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
