Walter V. Geever Age 92, of the Timbers of Shorewood, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday February 19, 2017. Loving husband of the late Dorothy Ann (nee Jarecki) ; beloved father of Linda (David) Tiggelaar, Gail (Al) Wood, Steven (Joyce) Geever, Gary (Lisa) Geever; devoted grandfather of Michelle (Matt) Murphy, Julie Britt, Steven (Ashley) Tiggelaar, Allison (Matthew) Brown, Aimee Wood, Scott Geever, Katelyn Geever, Lily Geever, Tess Geever; proud great-grandfather of Caleb Gyoerkoes, Avery Britt, Quinn Britt, Madeline Brown, Olivia Britt and Owen Tiggelaar. Dear brother of Regina Mirabella and Theresa Micholowicz. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; parents, Pearl and Walter Gizewski; siblings, Dolores Jania, George Geever and a brother "Buddy" in infancy. As it was Walter's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Graveside Committal Services will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
