Obituary of Sherry Daigger

Sherry Jean Daigger Passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 with family by her side. Born December 29, 1931 in Granite City, IL to the late Carl and Martha Puhse. She married Charles Albert Daigger on December 23, 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Michael and Kenny; one granddaughter, Stacey. Special in-laws, mother in-law Edna Cook, step-father in-law Bud and daughter-in-law Donna Daigger. She had lived in the area for 40 years. Retired as a LPN of 29 years from Morris Hospital, worked at Quality Care for 2 years and a special bus monitor in Coal City for 7 years. She enjoyed craft work, crochet and quilting, and she was an avid Elvis fan. She collected Beanie babies, loved bingo and yard sales. Survived by her children, Sharon (Wayne) Tellor of Cobden, IL, Danny Daigger of TX, Roger (Darline) Daigger of Joliet, Stanly Daigger of Morris and Edie (Mick) Shouse of Wilmington,IL; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way; and sister-in-law, Helen (Bill) Crabtree. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Sherry J. Daigger will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
