Obituary of Adeline D. Kweiser

Adeline D. Kweiser, (nee James), age 90, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plainfield, with her family by her side.

Born December 30, 1926 in Joliet, and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Roy James and Theresa (Hellwig) James Rzeszutko.   She was united in marriage on January 31, 1948 to her beloved husband, Robert F. Kweiser, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2009.  One daughter, Linda (Dale) Taylor; her sisters, Genevieve Pacult, Diane James and Geraldine Duffy; and her brothers, Joseph James and LeRoy “Sonny” James also preceded her in death.

Adeline retired from St. Joseph Hospital, and was one of the “TV Ladies” working for Sylvania at St. Joe’s.  Later, she was promoted to the Admitting Department at the hospital and enjoyed working in that department until she retired.

Adeline enjoyed crafts, her flower and vegetable gardens, and making cakes, pies, potica, breads and cookies, not only for family, but friends and co-workers as well.

She is survived by nine children, Carole (Bob) Johnson of Weeki Wachee, FL, Bob Kweiser of Ventura, CA, Janet Kweiser of Aurora, IL, Ginger (Steve) Snyder of Omaha, NE, Peggy (Phillip) Robidoux of Mountain View, CA, Rick Kweiser of Joliet, IL, Nancy (the late James) Durkin of Thornton, IN, William Kweiser of Piper City, IL, and Kimberly (the late Bob) Goodwin of New Lenox, IL.  Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren on the way; her sister, Eileen (LeRoy) Tezak of Wauwatosa, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the following for their care of Adeline - the staff of Autumn Country Club Adult Day Care, Harbor Lights Hospice of Glen Ellyn, IL, Joliet Area Community Hospice, and Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield, IL.  The family would also like to thank the staff of the J. C. Penney Hair Salon, especially Cheryl Papesh, for their fantastic care in making Mom look good no matter how difficult it could be at times.

Funeral services for Adeline Kweiser will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.  Fr.
