Ruth C. Diamond (nee Schaewe) Age 87. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at St. Patrick Residence in Naperville. Born in Milwaukee, WI, she was a resident of Joliet since 1948. Member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, the Joliet Women's Club, Catholic Women's League, the Pinochle Club, American Legion Harwood Post #5 Ladies Auxiliary, a volunteer for Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, past president of Finuala Condominium Association. Beloved mother of Joyce (Patrick) Heffern of Naperville, Mary (partner, Doris Popovich) Diamond of Chicago, Thomas (Janet) Diamond of Shorewood and Diane (John) Donisch of Joliet; loving grandmother of Danielle (Tim) Schaefer, Sgt. Ryan (Karen) Heffern, U.S. Army, Matthew Heffern; Katherine and Emily Diamond; cherished great-grandmother of Kylie Heffern; dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Eugene P. Diamond (1981); parents, William and Anna (nee Pick) Schaewe; her brother, Gerhard C. (Margaret) Schaewe. Diamond will be Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in her name to St. Patrick Residence or Harbor Light Hospice would be appreciated.
