Beverly J. Vota

Age 69 of Joliet, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family. Bev or “Bea” as affectionately known by many was born in Joliet the daughter of Bert and the late Theresa (Kump) Adams. She was a lifelong resident. Bea attended St. Raymond Grade School and graduated from St. Francis Academy, Class of 1966. She was formerly employed by the Real Estate office of Kathy Dames as a secretary for several years. Bev was considered the best cook, baker and cake decorator, using her talent as the former owner/operator of Top O’the Morning Bakery.
Surviving are her two children, Julaine (Jeff) Cartwright, of Plainfield and Joseph Vota of Three Rivers, MI; loving “Bammy” of Breanna, Brittany, Mackenzie and Vittoria; her father, Bert Adams, Sr. of Joliet; her siblings, Bert Adams, Jr. of Corona del Mar, CA, Jacqueline (Robert) Pedersen of Joliet, Robert (Teresa) Adams of Channahon, and William Adams of Joliet; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded by her loving husband of 42 years, Joseph Anthony Vota (2011) and her mother, Theresa Adams (2017).
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to The Timbers of Shorewood, Sun Health Dialysis Center and all the nurses and doctors of Neuro ICU and Medical ICU at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center for all their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral Services for Beverly J. Vota will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Enshrinement will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
