"Bill"
Age 61. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at his late residence. Born in Evergreen Park, a lifelong New Lenox Resident before relocating to Crest Hill five years ago. A member of I.U.O.E. Local and was described as one of the best Heavy Machinery Mechanic's there was. His greatest loves in life was spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle and working on engines.
Preceded in death by this parents, Raymond and Mary (nee Screen) Dobson; his sister, Kathleen at birth.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Debra L. (nee Flanagan) Dobson of Crest Hill; two sons, Thomas Oliver and Ryan (Roxanne) Oliver; three daughters, Tracy Oliver, Autumn (Juan) Diaz and Candice Dobson all of Joliet; six grandchildren; four brothers, Jack ("Sulley"), Raymond, Thomas (Elizabeth) and Larry (Terri) Dobson; one sister, Mary Simon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many special friends, and his faithful canine companion, Winston also survives.
The family would like to express there heartfelt appreciation for the kindness, medical care and gentle touch they felt through all of Bill's complications from his semi-crushing incident November 17, 2010. First thank you, Silver Cross Home Health Care Nurse Sherry Craig, Dr. Bokhari, Dr. David Cziperle, Dr. Almosaddy and Dr. Ronald Tupik who without you, Bill would have never had a chance at life. Humbly we recognize Joliet Area Community Hospice, especially Sue, Chris and Linda; and Stonehill Bible Church Family, we could not have made it without you. Bill's service to his country was who he was, and thank you to Thomas Naughton for his patriotism and fellowship of which Bill very much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, contributions to his surviving family to help keep them on life's path during this very difficult road ahead they will travel alone.
Funeral Services for William Dobson will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Greg Munyon officiating. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at:
