Obituary of Katherine Dockendorf

Dockendorf, Katherine M. (nee Pfaltzgraff) Age 64. Passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Vienna, Austria to the late Harry and Virginia (nee Shurback) Pfaltzgraff, Kathy resided in Joliet for most of her life. Kathy graduated from Joliet West High School in 1967. She retired after 42 years from Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Katherine enjoyed cooking and baking with her daughters and she loved shopping and vacationing in Daytona Beach. Above all, Kathy loved the company of her friends and family and her beloved dog "Black Jack". Surviving are her loving husband of 39 years, Robert L. Dockendorf of Joliet; three children, Robert C. (Augustina) Dockendorf of Elwood, Jill A. (Jeffrey) Ftacek of Joliet and Kymberlee K. (Mark) Berardi of Homer Glen; five grandchildren, Bobby, Jr. and Alyssa Dockendorf; Jeffrey, Jacob and Julianna Ftacek; two sisters, Margaret "Peggy" (Arthur "Art") Holden of Corona, CA and Joan (Steve) Sinkler of Ontonagon, MI; one brother, Harry Pfaltzgraff of Naples, FL; aunt of Jennifer Dockendorf of Hoboken, N.J., Billy Olson of Coal City and Johnny Olson of Morris. Funeral Services for Kathy will be Saturday, October 20, 2012, starting at the funeral home chapel at 11:15 a.m. and continuing at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in her name to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation or the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated.
