Obituary of Margaret Mary Morin
Margaret Mary Morin, age 96, of Joliet, and Noblesville, IN the past six years, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus, Noblesville, IN.
Born April 19, 1921 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Claude and Grace (Ferguson) Girard. She was a graduate of Providence High School, Chicago. Margaret worked for many years for the former Illinois Bell Telephone Company, in several capacities, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She loved animals, especially cats, was a big sports fan, especially the Chicago White Sox, and loved to travel.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Margaret (William) Faul of Nobelsville; one son, Donald (Laura) Morin of Joliet; and one grandson, Kevin (Zoe) Faul of Noblesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Morin (1979); her parents; one grandson, Brendan Faul (2017); and one brother, John Girard (1985).
Funeral services for Margaret Morin will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1301 Sterling Ave., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
