Maurisio Martinez
Age 33, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, after a short battle with leukemia, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Chicago, IL, on May 30, 1984, to Alfredo and Consuelo (nee Zamudio) Martinez. Maurisio was employed with the Spanish Community Center as a social worker. He enjoyed all sports including soccer, NASCAR, and wrestling, but was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Maurisio is survived by his loving parents; one brother, Jose (Katie) Martinez; two sisters, Sonia and Maria Martinez; and uncle to Adelyn Martinez. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Maurisio Martinez will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 205 E. Jackson Street, Joliet, where a Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
