Obituary of Thomas J. Pawelski
Thomas Joseph Pawelski, age 74, late of Plainfield, and a long time resident of Bolingbrook, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at Alden Estates of Shorewood, with his family by his side.
Born September 1, 1943 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian (nee Stec) Pawelski. He was a graduate of Farragut High School, and worked over thirty years for the former Manufacturers Bank at 1200 N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, retiring as Vice-President.
Tom was an avid sports fan and led an active lifestyle. He enjoyed swimming, playing softball, and was an accomplished racquetball player. He was a loving, kind and generous man who will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Surviving are his daughter, Catherine (Thomas) Ferrallo of Plainfield; his son, Mark Pawelski of Romeoville, four grandchildren, Anthony, Nicole, Thomas and Alyssa Ferrallo; his former wife, Dorothy E. (nee Medina) Humphrey of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Edward (Janice) Pawelski of Crest Hill; one sister, Patricia (Mario) Stella of Munster, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Thomas Pawelski will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1501 W. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora.
