Age 100. Passed away peacefully on May 26, 2009 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Joliet on November 12, 1908.
Survived by her loving sons, James (Dorothy) and Richard (Judy); her sister, Florence Agazzi; her loving grandchildren, James, Karen (Leonard) Wietting, David (Sandy), Richard (Jo Ann) and Michael (Marion); 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in eternal life by her husband, James; parents, Peter and Rose (nee LaPasso) Lantz; brother, Frank Lantz; sisters, Patricia Lantz, Mary Marino, Genevieve Ceci, Lena Pratt, Elizabeth Lyman, Veronica Donnelly, Kathryn Wood; and cherished granddaughter, Nicolette (Donnelly) Gonzalez.
Lifelong resident of Joliet and member of St. Mary Magdalene Church. A truly kind and gentle person, Linda was loved by all. She dedicated herself to caring for her family and the numerous foster children she helped raise. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, bird watching and vacationing in Hayward, Wisconsin. Known for her great Italian cooking, Linda loved cooking huge meals and inviting family, friends and neighbors for a feast around her kitchen table. A small framed woman with a giant heart, the world would be a better place if there were more people like Linda. An angel in our time.
Funeral services for Linda Donnelly will be Friday, May 29, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mary Magdalene Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation FRIDAY MORNING 8:00 a.m. until time of services at:
